Jung-Saeng Kwon is one of the most famous writers of children’s novels in Korea.
His first children’s book, Doggy-Poo, won Korea’s prestigious children’s literature award in 1968. He has published over 110 short stories for children, 8 children’s novels, including Tears of God, Mong-Shil, and a book of poems, as well as 2 volumes of essays.
His philosophy of tolerance and love of nature is reflected on his stories. In an unassuming way, he spreads the gospel of peace and respect for all living things.
Mr. Kwon lives in a small cottage in the country.
